K-POP INVADES MY SWEET LIFE

As much as I love eating dimsum and drinking tea, my love story with ice cream has already been written. Yes, I'm a diet conscious but I can skip it when you gave me an ice cream. Haha. I can't help myself to give in. Today, I tried this Korean ice cream stand which I came across while strolling the mall. They have cute mascots dancing. I was thinking of trying Melona but my sister insited to try this cute fish like ice cream. I'm kinda curious with this thing so ok let's try it. By the way, I also love red beans so it's a plus points.

Oh, my verdict is, it does taste so good that I can replace Magnum with this. I love the not so sweet taste of the vanilla ice cream and adding some texture are the red beans. Hihi. I can't wait to try the other varieties of Korean ice cream. :)

BLUSHING CUPCAKES

Tried their red velvet cupcake (cream cheese icing is very good!) and their banoffee cupcake which tastes good. Looking forward to try their peppermint cupcake.

HOME MADE PICHI PICHI

Homemade Pichi- pichi, an all time favorite Filipino dessert made with cassava or kamoteng kahoy, it's just like a puto or cake which is first introduced in Quezon Province here in the Philippines. Here is a quick recipe guide for you.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg. grated cassava or kamoteng kahoy
  • 2 cups of pandan juice
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 tsp. lihia
  • 1/4 kg. jackfruit or langka
  • grated cococut or cheese (toppings)
Procedure:

Mix all the ingredients and steam for 25 mins. Top or roll in grated coconut or cheese. As easy as that. Hope you like it. :)

FIRST WITH MAGNUM

The weather is really unpredictable but I'm loving the summer because it gives me more reason to eat cold foods and beverages especially ice cream (one of my weakness). Selecta has been famous for there variant ice cream products and one of this is Magnum. Package wise, it comes with a delicate yet sophisticated wrap. I've tried the classic one, a thick bar of vanilla ice cream on a stick, covered with chocolate.
