SPICE UP YOUR LEFT OVERS

Still struggling of posting an outfit post but whatever, I can post anything under the sun right? And so, let's talk about food besides fashion. Keeping myself sane for the next few days while cutting off sweets and junk foods out of my system. Today, I woke up with a hungry stomach (what's new? Haha) and so I decided to check out our fridge, saw a slice of chocolate cake and indulged myself with it. Yes, I'm guilty! Then I craved for something salty, perfect thing there's a bowl of left over Caldereta, my mom cooked few days ago and thought of pairing it with a hard boiled egg and viola!-- it tasted awesome and spicy beacuse of this crushed red pepper, my new staple. Now, I'm pumped up.

FEAST DAY

Sunday, family day. Feast day means two different things: (1) attended mass for La Naval de Manila's Feast day; (2) feast on my sister's blow out. Burp. Tried out China town's Best Foods located at Banawe, Quezon City. It was a blast! Fusion of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Okay, finally gave my self a break from all the starving blah blah. They have the awesome sushi, noodles, fish and crabs in town.

FOODIE IN LOLO'S 80

I have been feasting for so long and gaaah! I hate my figure. I'm growing bigger everyday and here are the reasons for it. Just what I've said in my last post, last Sunday we celebrated my Lolo's 80th birthday. And so we had a mini reunion, just like the old days everyone brought something to share. Mama cooked her classic spaghetti, this time I'm missing the Italian touch. She also made my favorite Bopis, a dish made out of pig's lungs and heart and our home made kutsinta which I've learned from TESDA. My Tita cooked caldereta and fried lumpiang shanghai. We also had palabok or can I just call it pansit Malabon which is so good, matched with roasted chicken. For dessert, my Tita from Quezon province brought home some puto, suman, espasol and jackfruit. Now, how can I blame these foods for letting me gain weight.

The birthday boy with me and my Lolo's twin, my dad.

OH NO, OCTOPUS!

Just dropping by to say Hi! Today, I had one of the craziest test ever. Believe it or not, 100 items for 24 minutes?! I was so disappointed because I didn't manage my time wisely. I have left a lot of items and unsure of my answers. This is so cruel, just keeping my fingers crossed that I will pass this test but I'm not expecting anything because I know I didn't gave my all. Sharing a Japanese time with my sister. Yehey! My favorite Takoyaki and Yakisoba as usual.

30 DAY SHRED LEVEL 1: (DAY 7- 10)

Oh hello there! I've already finished with Level 1 of  Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. Posting foods that I've eaten during Day 7 to 10. And I know I have been few days delayed with the workout because of profession related trainings.

Day 7: I cooked some Pork Sinigang for lunch. I love Kangkong!
Rewarding myself with Mexican bun and Yakult green tea.

Day 8: Almond and raisin bread for snacks.
Dinner with my friends. Resist ice cream and float, instead I ate a piece of burger.
Mom's home from Davao. Starting the week with Durian sweets and products.

Day 9: Having a hard time eliminating so I opted to drink one of this. Yakult!

Day 10: Home made kutsinta that looks like Halayang ube.

ONCE A PIZZA ADDICT

While browsing my previous post in my first blog, I was like craving for pizza. Hmm. Damn I miss pizza. I gave in with a slice last Saturday. And yet I'm still craving for more. So I might as well share my pizza experience in Nanos. Nice place by the way, reminds me of Sbarro. Tried their All Meat Special which is a bit of salty to my taste and their Hawaiian pizza which is a little bland to my taste but I love the softness of the dough, the freshness of pineapples and the melted cheese. Great!

DINE AND DRINK

Ppictures from our girl bonding with my sister and two cousins a.k.a my business partners. Missing them and missing the night life. Taken months ago from our planned food trip turned into drinking session. Burger, fries and ice tea from Army Navy, snow ball from random stall and cocktail shots from Giligans.
